Yacht Charter

"Bellerophon" our Sigma 38 comes with professional skipper who can make the day on the water as smooth as possible. We are set up to operate Management Training, Corporate Hospitality and Racing Experience.
We can provide the yacht with skipper, plus crew if required, for many different varieties of event.
The first venture across the Channel, a family cruise or entertaining work colleagues and guests.
You can plan as much or as little of the trip as suits. A sailing weekend is also a pleasant way of catching up with friends or celebrating that big event!

"Bellerophon of Wight" is a Sigma 38 and a fine example of her class. She is well maintained, taking advantage of a regular winter refit to keep her in top condition.
There is accommodation for a maximum of ten people aboard with three cabins, two doubles and a twin, with four in the main saloon. Her luxuries include a cool box for the champagne and food and a heater for the chill evenings at either end of the season.

A typical day would be to meet the yacht in Cowes, a safety briefing before setting sail to familiarise everyone with what to expect. A lunchtime venue is often pre arranged with regard to weather and tides. Plenty of time is set aside to enjoy the meal with perhaps a pre luncheon drink. Then an afternoon sail with a tour of some of the famous sights in the area before returning to Cowes to have a little while to explore the town before returning to the mainland.

If organising the supplies is just another job for a galley you have never seen and there are more important tasks to be done, then we are the people to provide for your requirements. We have much experience in catering afloat from the impressive lunch to the wholesome meal when underway. We aim to ensure that no one goes hungry as sea air and some exercise is known to increase the appetite.

For the large events involving more than one day there are a variety of ideas of where to stay. Sleeping aboard is the cheapest option although generally not guaranteeing a peaceful night.
There are many types of accommodation in the town, from bed and breakfast to the comfortable hotel. Although this does need to be booked well in advance. The same applies to restaurants ashore.

What better way to say thank you to your customers than to take them out on the Solent, the home training ground of the GBR Challenge. Enjoy a day afloat with the warm summer breeze to blow you along and not a care in the world until the sun sets.
A beautiful anchorage, perhaps in sight of Queen Victoria’s Osborne House, where a sumptuous lunch can be enjoyed at leisure. Before a return sail, a chance to try a go at the helm or trim a sail or just watch the water go by if that is all that is required.

Do you wish to mould together your office team, smooth out the odd niggles or even see who will work efficiently under pressure before a promotion is given?
The ideal environment to test the individual as well as the team. Away from the distractions of work and home, all concentration can be given to the matter at hand.

The Sigma 38 fleet is a popular charter yacht for fleet racing in the local inshore Solent series, corporate events and the Royal Ocean Racing Club Offshore series including the prestigious biannual Fastnet Race.

"Bellerophon" competed regularly in the local Tuesday evening series in Cowes during the summer months training up enthusiastic sailors who go on to crew or helm in other events. We aim to give an all round knowledge to anyone wishing to join a racing crew or to take their own yacht racing. Opportunity to try all positions on a yacht in racing conditions with plenty of advice and encouragement given.

Prices per day including skipper. Extras are race entry, berthing and food. Waterproofs and sleeping bags can be hired at a daily rate.
